Established in 1999 in Turin, Italy, the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino (I3P) supports the creation and development of innovative start-ups with high technological intensity and growth potential, founded by university researchers, students or external entrepreneurs, providing strategic consulting services, coaching, mentoring, fundraising support and workspaces. The mission of I3P is to support the ecosystem of entrepreneurship, with the aim of generating economic development and employment in innovative industrial chains.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

Preliminary screening

The first evaluation phase will be carried out jointly with I3P to identify the solutions that best align with our requirements and the most well-structured teams.

Pitch session

Startups admitted to the second phase will have the opportunity to present themselves to our technical and innovation teams in a pitch session.

Technical assessment

The final selection phase involves targeted meetings with multidisciplinary teams aimed at exploring the proposed solution from both a technical and market perspective. During this phase, brainstorming meetings may be scheduled to explore how startups' technologies could be applied to our use cases, paving the way for a Proof of Concept.

HOW WE WORK WITH STARTUPS

Our Open Innovation model follows a venture client approach: we team up with startups to test cutting-edge technologies, co-develop new concepts, and explore bold business models. If the PoC gives positive results, we can become one of your first customers, helping you grow with real traction.

We believe innovation is a two-way street. That’s why we aim to build equal, challenge-driven partnerships but we’re also open to fresh ideas, even when there’s no call open on the website.
